HOTEL REVIEW: KAAB COBA IN COBA Britnee Johnston January 31 Americas, Lodging, Mexico, Travel Private Room Amenities Price Location 4.8Overall Score Reader Rating: (0 Votes)Kaab Coba was such a peaceful stay during our Yucatan trip in January 2022. We wanted to spend a few days in Coba to explore the ruins and relax away from the crowds. This hotel was just the place to squeeze in between our time in Chichen Itza and Tulum. We really wanted to take our time in Coba rather than doing a day trip from afar like so many others. Coba is about a 45 minute drive from Tulum so it’s not very far away, but when we saw that we could stay in a hotel right by the ruins, we decided to save us the long day trip tour and spend two nights there. We have enjoyed the leisurely pace instead of the go-go-go pace of tours over the years. So by staying in Coba, we were among the first to arrive at the ruins in the morning, while having a leisurely experience while there. It made it so much more special to have it all to ourselves for the first hour or so, and it was all possible thanks to staying at Kaab Coba. Private Room: Our private room came with a queen bed and a private bathroom. Our room was located in the courtyard right by the pool and dining area. Even though it was by the commons area, it was very nice and quiet in the room. Amenities: My favorite amenity was the swimming pool area. The breakfast served at the hotel was also very nice. Outside of the hotel were hammocks to enjoy the scenery and listen to the chirping birds. There were also some remains of ancient ruins around the property too. Parking was free outside of the hotel and there was a security guard at the front of the property, which made the place feel safe and secure. Pricing: The cost was $428 total for two nights for a queen bedroom. View the hotel and book at booking.com. Location: The location was amazing for taking a short walk away to the entrance of the Coba ruins. Just a little past the entrance after we bought our tickets is a small area where we rented bicycles to continue riding along to the ruins. The hotel is also right next to the lake, which was beautiful scenery to walk by during sunset. There are also a few restaurants and small shops nearby for meals and snacks. BOOK NOW!
