MVC PATONG HOUSE IN PATONG BEACH Britnee Johnston February 25 Lodging, Reviews, Thailand, Travel 2 Comments Private Room Amenities Pricing Location 4.6Overall Score Our home for one month was at MVC Patong House in Patong Beach. We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the beach, gym and supermarket, all with a great price. We really enjoyed our stay at MVC Patong House! Private Room: Our private room was an average size room with a large comfortable bed and two bedside tables. We also had a closet with a security box that we used everyday. The room also came with a TV and a desk with chair. Outside we had sliding glass doors to a patio, which was nice to have for hanging our laundry. The bathroom didn’t smell at all, which was a plus for us. And had super hot water. We had a private bathroom that didn’t smell at all–a major plus for us since a lot of other places we looked at had smelly bathrooms. The shower was always hot as well. Amenities: WiFi in our room worked great during our stay, and our TV had a couple of English channels. The restaurant in the downstairs lobby had really good food such as the cashew chicken and chicken salad. The staff cleaned our rooms spotlessly almost every day with fresh towels and two free bottles of drinking water, soap and shampoo each time. In the hotel was an elevator, which was nice since we were on the third floor. Although this hotel was at the crossroads of two busy streets, the windows in our room did a really good job blocking out the noise. Pricing: We paid 18,000 baht for a 30-day stay and paid an extra 3% fee for using our credit card to pay the bill. This was a great price from considering its location and it being high season. There were cheaper stays further away from downtown, but we liked the convenience of being by everything by foot. When we looked up MVC Patong online the pricing was much higher than what we paid for with our month-long discount. We arranged this discounted price by asking in person if a room was available and what the rate would be. Luckily, we were able to reserve the room for a whole month just a day prior to when we wanted to move in. Location: This was the best location we could’ve asked for in Patong Beach. It was two blocks away from the Maximum Fitness Center where we had a gym membership and the same short distance to the beach. It was also approximately a 10-minute walk to Jungceylon Mall where the Big C supermarket was located for our grocery shopping. It was also nearby the lively Bangla Road and other interesting streets with street food, bars and more. 2 Responses
