As mentioned in the name, this is a new hostel that opened up last month in Siem Reap that we had the pleasure to stay at for 10 days. New Home Hostel offered great accommodation and facilities with everything brand new, including the building. We highly recommend staying here with the friendly staff, quiet neighborhood, and close location to Pub Street and the heart of downtown Siem Reap.

Private Room:

Our private room was super spacious with a closet that locked for security, a flat screen TV with English channels, and a table and chair. We also had a private bathroom with great hot water all the time! Our room was on the first floor right next to the lobby, so we were a little worried about noise, but it was usually quiet, which was nice for us. Our bed was the most comfortable one we’ve slept in our nine months of travel.

Amenities:

Wifi was really fast and conveniently worked in our bedroom. The staff at New Home Hostel were super friendly and always greeted us whenever they saw us. They also helped us hiring a tuk tuk and have bicycles on site to rent for rides to Angkor Wat. Drinks are also available for sale at the hostel.

Pricing:

We paid $15/night for our private bedroom, which is a really great deal for the size and quality of the room.

Location:

The hostel is hidden off a side street so it may be hard to find at first. Our initial driver after our bus ride into Siem Reap luckily just happened to be friends with the owner and was able to find it easily. The hostel is only a 10 minute walk to Pub Street, the Night Market and the lively part of Siem Reap. There’s also some nice restaurants around the block from the hostel. It’s about a 20-30 minute bicycle ride to Angkor Wat.

Next hostel on our travels: CHANNSODA HOTEL IN PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA.
