An extended visit to Scotland, Mark’s home country, where we were hosted by gracious family and friends from the northern coast to the southern borderlands. Over two weeks we listened to the debate over Scottish independence, dipped our feet in the North Sea, walked castle passageways, admired the Highlands, hiked on Skye, endured a rental car disaster and ate plenty of haggis! And while it was hard to say goodbye to all our loved ones and all that good, British candy, it was easy to say goodbye to the Pound Sterling that really hurt our pocketbook!
