A whole lot of hills! We enjoyed four days of hiking and a little relaxing while staying at the YHA Helvellyn Hostel near Glenridding in the Lake District, England. Thanks to some guidance from Mark’s godfather Malcolm—who works for the Ordinance Survey—we arrived with a great map and a good idea of the hikes we wanted. So we climbed Helvellyn that very first afternoon. Then after a day of rest we took another long walk up to Grisedale Tarn and back along St. Sunday Crag, giving us amazing views of Helvellyn across the valley to the north.
